Yay! Francis Manapul is back on the art this issue, which makes me happy. He and co-writer Brian Buccellato are cooking up a mess of trouble for Barry Allen, bringing back even more of the old Flash Rogues Gallery. Their take on Golden Glider might be my favorite so far, a sort of Puckish figure, causing havoc with an alluring smile that has Barry’s full attention. But then, so do the other Rogues, who are not all on the same page by any means, but still creating lots of mayhem.

Manapul’s watercolor approach is so delightful, and look at this terrific layout and use of color. A fresh approach to an old character worthy of every accolade. And what a wonderful cover, too. Superb!
