WEBSITE ITEMS ORDERING INFO

Payment and Shipping Options

Clicking the Add to Cart and View Cart buttons under the items below will add items to and take you to a PayPal shopping cart. PayPal is a safe and reliable online payment site that I've been using for eBay payments for several years, and if you don't have an account with them, it's easy and cost-free to set one up. You can do that after choosing items here and continuing to Checkout. OR you can pay using your credit card without opening a PayPay account. You can also use their e-check system to withdraw money from your bank.

If you'd rather order and pay by mail, using a check or money order, click HERE for an order form to do that. NOTE: if you plan to mail order, email me and let me know, I'll hold items for you.

Shipping amount varies based on the total cost of items you order. Here is a chart for U.S. shipments:

Up to $20 = shipping $3, up to $100 = shipping $5, over $100 = shipping $8.

Here's a chart for outside the U.S.:

Up to $20 = shipping $5, up to $100 = shipping $7, over $100 = shipping $10.

New Jersey residents must pay 7% sales tax on items and shipping.

CDs will be sandwiched between two layers of corrugated cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap and mailed in a Tyvek envelope. Prints and vellum overlays will be placed in a protective plastic sleeve, rolled and sent in a sturdy mailing tube.

Before You Read This print

NEW: BEFORE YOU READ THIS SIGNED PRINT

Neil Gaiman has written a new free-verse poem for this 11 by 17 inch print designed and lettered by me. Its approximately 400 words are intriguingly mysterious and dark, with chillingly crafted images, but with moments of dry humor as well. Printed in black ink on pale gray Wausau Exacta Vellum Bristol paper, with black line and gray tone artwork, hand-painted white moon and candle-flames on each, and signed by both Neil and myself. (Note that some of the text is intentionally blurred in this image.) My price is $20, not including shipping. Will be placed in a protective plastic sleeve and mailed in a sturdy mailing tube. This first printing is 1000 copies.

PLEASE NOTE: I am now opening up sales to a total of FIVE per person. If you have already ordered, you may order more up to that amount. About half the copies that remain are signed in purple-blue "tanzanite" ink by Neil, the rest are signed with brown ink. If you have a preferred color for your order, or would like a mix, I will fill those requests while supplies last. Let me know in the "comments" section of your PayPal payment form, or by separate email.

For latest information and updates on this print, keep checking my BLOG. A detailed description of the creation of the print begins there with THIS entry.

Alphabets of Desire 2nd printing

ALPHABETS OF DESIRE SIGNED PRINT, 2nd printing

A thousand new words from Alan Moore on this 11 by 17 inch print designed and lettered by me, in which Alan explores the importance of letters, alphabets, words, and language in every aspect of our culture and consciousness. Beginning with "A is for Apple," Alan explains how letters are "the titans on whose shoulders the entire Earth is resting." Along the way he paints several enticing word pictures appealing to all the senses, delves into the history of alphabets and language, their impact on magic and the magic of their impact. Find out how he gets there in this exclusive item, suitable for framing. Printed in black ink on cream-colored Wausau Exacta Vellum Bristol paper, with each apple hand-colored by me, and each print signed by both Alan and I. (Note: some text in picture above is intentionally blurred.) My price is $20, not including shipping. Will be placed in a protective plastic sleeve and mailed in a sturdy mailing tube. The first printing of 500 copies SOLD OUT in three days, except for a few copies that I offered on eBay, one per week. Those are now gone as well. This second printing of 500 copies differs from the first in two ways: Alan has signed them in either BLUE or BLACK ballpoint, where he used red on the first printing. Also, in the small type along the right edge I've added the words "2ND PRINTING JAN. 2008". The second printing is exactly like the first in every other way. For information about the creation of the print, see this entry on my BLOG.

Lettering Sampler Colored

A LETTERING SAMPLER HAND-COLORED SIGNED PRINT, offset printing on card stock, 11 by 17 inches, July 1993. This is a second batch of 50, the first batch of 50 sold out. My thoughts on the virtues of hand lettering. The following year I got my first Mac computer and started creating my own fonts and lettering with them. Hey, a guy can change his mind, can't he? This is colored with Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus Liquid Watercolors, which should not fade over time. My price is $20, not including shipping. Print will be shipped in a sturdy mailing tube. In short supply, I may need to cancel orders if I get too many in a short time.

This print is essentially SOLD OUT at the moment. I'll be coloring more some time in the future, but probably not for a few months.

Vellum overlay sample

ORIGINAL LETTERING ON VELLUM OVERLAYS, various books. Until the advent of computer lettering and digital paste-ups (and even sometimes after), I was asked to letter on vellum overlays atop a xerox of either pencilled art, inked art, or painted art. I have some of these overlays from books dating from the 1980s through the 2000s. I'm offering them in lots of 5 pages, by title or character. Sorry, I can't take requests for particular issues or pages, but I will try to give you a nice selection from the ones that I have. This group are priced at $10 for five pages, not including shipping. Note that most pages come with the Xerox that was lettered over, not all. Pages will be shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.

BATMAN: SHADOW OF THE BAT, DC Comics

DARKCHYLDE, Image Comics

DEATHBLOW, Image Comics

THE DEMON, DC Comics

LOBO, DC Comics

SHADE, THE CHANGING MAN, DC Comics

ULTRAFORCE/AVENGERS, Malibu Comics

This next title is priced higher because of the writer of the book, Alan Moore. They are $20 for five pages, not including shipping. Pages will be shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.

SUPREME, Image Comics

Finally, if you'd just like a selection of pages from different books, I'm offering a grab-bag of random pages from any of the above, 10 pages for $14, not including shipping. Some of these will not have the accompanying Xerox that was lettered over, but each grab-bag lot will include one page from the higher-priced group. Will be shipped in a sturdy mailing tube.

For the first 50 years of my life I was a collector of stuff. All kinds of stuff. Not junk, but things that appealed to me and I thought had value.

As I approached my fiftieth year, I realized I'd never have time to enjoy or even look at a lot of what I'd collected, and I began de-collecting some of it by auctioning items weekly on eBay. I've done that since 2000, and most weeks you'll find 15 to 20 items up for auction here:

EBAY AUCTIONS

I do take some weeks off, so if there's nothing this week, try again later. And thanks for looking at my stuff!
