Coming Soon: Comics Romance!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m working on a logo study of all the DC romance comics logos. I have all the materials, including scans of many of the original logos from the DC files, and I don’t need to spend a lot of time tracking down logo designers; I either know them, or know I have no chance of finding out. I’d hoped to have the study ready to begin today, but due to print sales and a heavy workload this past week, I’m just starting to write it today. I won’t begin running the study until it’s all written, so look for it to start some time this week. Do what you can to keep the flame alive until then.

That is all…LOVERS.

    Todd,

I’m not big on romance comics, though I found it intriguing that Night Nurse had some sort of resurgence recently?

I’ve always had suggestions for your logo studies (Deadman being my favorite that hasn’t appeared), but today I have a question: Who developed the logo that emblazoned the series that begin in 1986 with the inimitable team of O’Neil and Cowan (the same logo that is currently on issue #37, the Blackest Night tie-in)?

My apologies. I alway write horrible questions. I would absolutely flunk as a reporter. The above question is, if you haven’t guessed it already, about THE QUESTION comics.

    Thanks in advance,
    Lawrence

Thanks, Todd. Just by chance yesterday, I was sent a copy of Jack Kirby’s Heroes and Villains; the introduction’s written by Steranko, whom, it seems, Bruzenak was employed by for a fairly good while? The search for Bruzenak informed me about more than I ever knew about either Ken or Steranko. Again, thanks.
