Titmice at Hopper feeder

The feeders I put out last Saturday have been busy. Chickadees and Titmice are usually the first and most frequent feeders. They’re quite busy at the hopper feeder this year — the one on the right seems to be quite talkative about it.

White Breasted Nuthatches are also coming in, probably the pair that nests in the nearby woods.

We’ve also had Red-Breasted Nuthatches there, the one on the left is a poor shot, but the best I could get. They dart in and out so fast, my digital shutter can’t keep up.

Titmice also like the window feeder, where I can see them more easily…

…as do the Chickadees. In our area they’re all Carolina Chickadees.

Tube feeder

The tube sunflower feeder’s been pretty busy too, not so much the thistle one. And I haven’t seen anyone at the suet feeder yet. There’s still lots of natural food around, though. When ice and snow hit, we’ll get even more customers.
