Volume 3 has arrived, and it’s just as impressive and glorious as the first two. The main extra feature in this one is the original script for issue 50, my favorite single issue. Neil scripted it in a different way than his previous stories, allowing artist P. Craig Russell to lay out the story as he liked, making it more of a collaboration than usual. While I love these oversized volumes, I have to say they’re tough to hold up while reading! But if you like top quality printing and paper and deluxe binding, this is for you. Although, I must say I still prefer the original single issue printing of Sandman 50 to the one here. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s the more subdued colors, it just looks better that way to me.

This one has been out for a while, but I just got copies from the publisher. I loved lettering this, and think the art is some of Russell’s best work. Even if you already own the novel, you should consider getting this version as well, and if you’re a Craig Russell fan, it’s a must-have.
