When you’ve lettered as much as I have for DC Comics over the last 45 years, and they send you copies of hardcover reprints, this is the kind of unexpected thing that turns up. I worked on the three-issue prestige format series by Bruning, Kubert and Kubert that makes up much of this collection, filled out with material from JLA #20-21 and another Adam Strange series from 2004. I remember liking that first series at the time, the story and art were good, and I’ve always had a fondness for the character’s original appearances in MYSTERY IN SPACE when I was a young comics reader.
