OTHER DESIGN PROJECTS Here are a few other projects I've worked on recently. First, for FABLES: 1001 NIGHTS OF SNOWFALL, an original hardcover, I designed title pages for each of the stories as well as doing the type design for the framing story with art by Charles Vess and Michael Wm. Kaluta. © Bill Willingham & DC Comics The font used here is one I originally created for PROMETHEA, in a story that involved an Arab character. It seemed like the right choice for this Arabian Nights inspired volume as well. © Bill Willingham & DC Comics Another recent project was BATMAN #663, where I designed the type for the entire issue, a story written by Grant Morrison and painted by John Van Fleet. © DC Comics The inspiration for this project was a text story in an old issue of Detective Comics from the 1980s titled "Death Strikes at Midnight and Three", written by Dennis O'Neil, art by Marshall Rogers. Oddly enough, I designed the type for that one, too. All text and images © Todd Klein, except as noted. All rights reserved. |
